About Us
Renewable Fuel Products, Inc
was formed by the two co-founders with extensive experience in the
commercialization of renewable energy alternatives and algae biomass systems.
Renewable Fuel Products, Inc. is in its start up
phase and has successfully converted its key technologies into demonstration pilot facilities.
Management
Peter Bell -
Peter was born in South Africa, was
educated as an automotive engineer in the UK and is now a US citizen. Peter is often credited with
rapid public awareness of biodiesel in the US market through his creation
of the "BioWillie" brand of biodiesel in partnership with the legendary
country singer, Willie Nelson. His company, Distribution Drive was
acquired by a NASDAQ listed company in 2005 and prior to Distribution Drive,
Peter was the co-founder & CEO of Flagship Systems, Inc the publisher of
an early internet based accounting software system, Flagship.
Peter is
the inventor of the
Multi Functional Rural Fuel
Platform, a humanitarian effort and is the co-founder
of Renewable Fuel Products, Inc.
Peterson Conway
- Peterson began his research into algal-based biofuels with an attempt to
build the world's first algae-powered car, developed in his parent's barn
and debuted at the Burning Man festival. A moderate success, it attracted
GreenFuel Technologies' head of R&D, which led to Peterson's project
management of GreenFuel's first commercial algae-to-biofuels pilot (funded
by NASA, MIT and several top tier venture firms) now underway at the
Holcomb Bio-Energy Center.
Prior, Peterson's
background was in the consumer internet space, where he was part of the
founding team of Xoom.com-a PayPal-related e-commerce company backed by
Sequoia Partners and Stanford University. Peterson is an active seed
investor and advisor to several biofuels/clean technology companies and is
a committed biodiesel user. He holds a BA in economics from Dartmouth,
resides with his wife in Carmel, California and is the co-founder of Renewable
Fuel Products, Inc.
Investors
Renewable Fuel Products, Inc
has raised its initial seed funding from a number of accredited investors, two venture capital funds Big
Sky Partners,
Greenhouse
Capital Partners and a hedge fund.

Technical
Thomas
F. Jaramillo - Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering - Stanford
University. Tom specializes in researching new energy technologies to
reduce global dependence on fossil fuels. His research is focused on
developing means to produce energy (or energy carriers) from renewable
sources and then convert them to work as efficiently and cleanly as
possible. Tom Jaramillo’s Laboratory at Stanford is working with Renewable
Fuel Products on fuel characterization and testing. Through continuous
sample characterization, Tom’s laboratory provides a crucial technical
role in helping RFP develop an ASTM compliant renewable diesel fuel.
